Here at Rusty, our pool tournament is not league affiliated. It is just a weekly tournament with the opportunity to make some money. It’s the perfect tournament for busy people who have the time to come play billiards and want to put their skills to the test whenever it is convenient. We have many regular players and our tournament is for people of all skill levels.
Rules:
We play according to official BCA rules. It is a double elimination singles tournament with 1/1 matches. This means you will play each person in only one game and you have to lose two games before being eliminated from the tournament. The buy-in is 10$ and the bar matches the pot up to $100. The maximum amount of players is 18 and typically pays out the top 3 players in the match. Based on attendance, sometimes we will only pay 1st and 2nd and it is up to the hosts discretion.

This tournament starts at 10:30 PM every Thursday. Be here at 10:00 PM to get signed up and order some drinks and food before the tourney starts.
We run the same exact tournament on Wednesdays at our sister bar, The 04 Lounge. It is located at 3808 S Congress Avenue in South Austin. This tournament starts at the same time and has the same host. Feel free to sign up for both tournaments and get your wins in.
Championship tournament
At the end of the year, typically in December between Thanksgiving and Christmas, we have a championship tournament for all the players who have won first place in either the RCP or 04 weekly pool tournaments. It is an invite only tournament based on the win conditions and has no buy-in. We bring out all of our liquor sponsors and have a much larger pot for this tournament. Come take a 1st place win sometime at either bar and get yourself on the invite list!
